Raw Cacao, Almond, and Chia Smoothie
In this vegan smoothie, I combined good protein and fat from almonds and chia seeds with the amazing health benefits of raw cacao. Did you know that unprocessed raw cacao has more than 300 nutritional compounds and is one of the richest sources of antioxidants of any food on the planet? This superfood can help keep you energized, healthy, and happy! This smoothie for breakfast is so rich that it will keep you satisfied until lunch time.
You need the following ingredients: (for about 2 glasses)
- 2 bananas
- 1 1/2 cups / 360 ml almond milk (you can also use cow, soy, or any other you prefer)
- 1 tbsp white almond butter
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp raw cacao powder
- a few ice cubes (about 5-6 cubes)
Put all ingredients into a blender and mix on high speed so that everything is completely blended and smooth. You can also use a hand blender if you don’t have a regular blender at home, or if you’re making smaller portions.
Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. You can sprinkle some raw cacao powder on top.
